About me
The reasons we seek counselling are many and varied. Sometimes there is a sudden loss or trauma, but sometimes there are layers of difficult experiences where one more is too many, and we can become overwhelmed. These may be current events or traumatic experiences from long ago that continue to affect life today. We may begin to distance ourselves from friends and family as we try to make sense of difficult feelings and emotions alone. Perhaps because we don't want to burden others or from unresolved or misplaced feelings of guilt or shame. Reaching out for support can be difficult, but contacting me is easy, please get in touch.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I invite you to a safe, non-judgemental space to explore any challenges or anxieties. This therapeutic relationship is based on trust and mutual respect, and you are the focus of this relationship. My commitment to you is to be fully present, to hear you, and be with you, as you experience your positive change.
Reaching out can be difficult, but something has led you here today. Give me a call or send me an email, we can have a conversation about where you are now, where you would like to be, and what challenges might be in your way.
about what you would like to achieve from counselling, and what might currently be in the way of you achieving your personal objectives.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
