About me
My practice is deeply rooted in promoting diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every individual feels seen, heard, and valued. I focus on building a therapeutic relationship through respect and compassion to maximise the effectiveness of our work together. Working at the client’s pace is essential. My belief is that every individual has the capability of changing their situation/ thoughts and with a warm, supportive environment this is possible.
I support adults navigating anxiety, stress, low mood, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, early life trauma and relationship difficulties. With teens, I provide a calm and understanding environment to help them express themselves, build emotional awareness, and develop healthy coping skills while feeling heard and respected.
A particular interest I have is how our experiences and/or feelings are stored in our body and I witness how often with clients this results in emotional dysregulation. This feels like our normal but can be the cause of ill health, stress, outbursts and much more. This can look like in a session as a slowing down and paying attention as we talk, guiding you in managing those sensations and bringing resolution and regulation back to the nervous system.
I support clients with life tools and guide clients to help understand how we relate to ourselves and to the people in our lives. These ways of relating are known as patterns which shape our relationships in the present. Knowing this can empower us to make the choices or changes in life we are searching for.
EMDR Therapy
Please see my website for information about EMDR and how I structure those sessions. EMDR is a medicalised model however, I practice by integrating talking therapy so we can establish your hopes as well as you gaining full trust in this process with me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
