About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected with life right now. It happens to the best of us, but the good news is, support is available. I'm Elaine, a friendly, down to earth and experienced counsellor looking forward to meeting you.
With five years of experience, I've had the privilege of helping individuals just like you, who are currently feeling a bit out of control, trapped by past relationship pain, or simply lost and confused.
I can provide a safe and supportive environment where you can express yourself freely, explore your emotions, and rediscover your inner strength. It's not about dwelling on the past; it's about understanding it and using that knowledge to shape a brighter, more fulfilling future.
Here's a snapshot of what you can expect from our sessions:
- Being heard without judgment.
- Understanding some of the reasons for your feelings
- Gaining the freedom to choose how you want to live.
- Learn how being kinder to yourself can impact how you think and feel.
You might be going through a relationship breakdown with parents, family or friends or feeling distant from your partner or wondering why you keep ending up feeling misunderstood, unheard or not quite good enough. Or perhaps you’re single and want to understand yourself more deeply before moving into another relationship, so you can make different choices and create something healthier.
Counselling can give you the space to slow things down, make sense of the patterns you may be stuck in and understand where some of those feelings come from. Together, we can help you feel clearer about what you need, more confident in your decisions and more able to show up in relationships as yourself — rather than constantly questioning, changing or losing yourself for other people.
If you're ready to take that first step towards a happier, more liberated you, please feel free to contact me. I can offer a free 15 minute initial call or zoom session so you can get a sense of whether I am the right counsellor for you.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and if I am the right therapist for you, I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
