About me
You may be here looking for support as you are overwhelmed with worry, your sleep might be disturbed or you may be feeling low. Whatever it is that has brought you here, talking about it can help. We could work together to explore what's going on for you at a pace and depth that feels right for you. I will work to help you to untangle your feelings, and build your sense of self to help you to get to where you want to be.
In the first session we will begin to get to know each other. I will offer you some information about what to expect from our sessions, we will talk through our counselling/therapy agreement with space for you to ask questions. This first part usually takes around 15 minutes. The rest of the session will be a chance for you to share what brought you to counselling and what you hope to get from it.
I now offer in person sessions in Glasgow city centre as well as online and phone sessions to adults across the UK. At the moment I have availability on Thursdays. I can offer both short and longer-term counselling depending on what it is you are looking for. If you are not sure what you might need, it is something we can discuss and review along the way.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or if you would like to have a quick call about working together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BSc in Psychology, a COSCA certificate in Counselling Skills and a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) which means I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework which is central to the work we do together.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
