Hello, I'm Dymphna.
I'm a Counsellor offering one to one sessions, in St Leonards on Sea East Sussex. I offer a safe, confidential space where we can explore what may be troubling you and work towards change if that is what you want. I also offer online counselling. I can work with you for just a few sessions or, if needed, for months or years.
I have experience of working with adults with a wide variety of problems including loss, depression, anxiety, guilt, anger and relationship issues. I also volunteer for the local branch of a carers charity; so I am experienced in understanding issues associated with caring roles.
Away from my counselling practice I am a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT), working in the NHS. Which means that I am used to working with people to enable them to achieve their life goals.
One of my passions is counselling people who are struggling with issues associated with work. There are so many important reasons to work, but it can be so hard to keep working when you feel exhausted or stressed.
My two professions compliment each other: I understand that daily routines can feel effortful; sometimes we do not want, or we feel unable, to fulfil our roles and responsibilities; and all this can have a real impact on how we cope with our lives.
If you are struggling to find balance and joy in your life I may be able to help.
