About me
I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist practitioner, Mental Health First Aider, and Wellbeing Training Consultant. I specialise in areas of Trauma, panic attacks, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, women, and men who have experienced sexual abuse in childhood, and stress-related issues.
There are a variety of reasons why people come to counselling or psychotherapy. We throughout our lives face challenging times and often can lose focus on our situation leading to confusion and uncertainty, unsure where to turn, and occasionally just having additional support is all that is needed.
I offer a safe place for you to unburden those concerns, and voice your fears, anger, or frustration, at your own pace in a confidential, non-judgemental, and relaxed environment. I aim to help you make sense of your feelings and help you move on in your life in as few sessions as possible. The thought of having therapy can feel a bit daunting at first, with fear of the unknown, but it is the first step to moving forward on your journey. One step at a time!
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited Human Givens Counsellor and Psychotherapist Practioner (HG Dip.P), Mental Health First Aider, and Wellbeing Training Consultant. I have had years of working within therapeutic practices and ten years working to prevent the exploitation of child online sexual abuse.
I currently hold a Diploma in Human Givens Therapy, a Certificate in Individual Psychology Adlerian Counselling, and a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA). I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS, and I am a registered member of the Human Givens Institute (MHGI) and regulated by the PSA.
I have experience in treating clients from all walks of life, adults, children, and couples who have had a variety of issues.
