About me
Hi my name is Donna and I offer a safe, calm and confidential setting for anyone seeking therapy.
Counselling offers the opportunity to share issues that may be preventing you from living life as you would like to. sometimes life can be full of difficulty and this can leave you feeling desperate, depressed, anxious, sad or maybe even hopeless. This may be the first step in you being able to talk about you in the situation you find yourself in today. I work in a Humanistic way and will therefore not judge you in that situation.
I believe your time spent with me in therapy should be tailored to your individual needs and I offer a very open environment to ensure you feel heard.
I have many years experienece of working with individuals who are bereaved who find it very difficult to cope with life as a result. I also specialise in working with Young people, teenagers and families who are finding relationships difficult. I am fully qualified and a member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework and guidelines at all times.
I am also a Counselling lecturer at Shrewsbury college and teach students how to become Person-Centred Counsellors.
I would be happy to hear from you and to speak to you individually about the service I offer.
Thanks for your time and for looking at my profile.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
