About me
About me
Hello and welcome to my profile.I really do know how difficult it can be to take that first step to start counselling but I am warm and approachable. If you feel life's pressures and anxieties are proving too difficult for you to cope with, I am able to offer you a safe, non-judgmental space to help you unburden yourself, to talk freely and express difficult and painful emotions. As well as seeing clients from my private practice I also work with the charity Grief Encounter where I offer support to those who have been bereaved.
What I specialise in:
Anxiety
Depression
Low self-esteem and confidence issues
Greater self-Awareness
Grief
Relationship Issues
How I can help you:
* I can listen to you without being judgmental.
* I can help you find a new perspective to look at the issues that affect you.
* I can help you find a voice and be heard.
* I can help you find strength in challenging situations and help you to deal with difficult people.
* I can help you to learn to say 'No'
*I can build a strong, safe and trusting relationship with you.
What will the first session look like?
The first session will give you the opportunity to see whether you feel at ease with me and if you want to start to explore some of the issues that have brought you to counselling. Following this initial meeting, we will work out the best counselling approach for helping you move forward in your life.
What length of counselling I offer:
Short term (usually up to 6 sessions) and longer term counselling- you decide how long you want to be in therapy for, there is no long-term commitment.
Availability:
I can offer daytime, evening and some weekend appointments.
My Practice
I run a private practice from Bushey and Borehamwood. There are no parking restrictions for either practice.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
