About me

Hello, I am an Integrative counsellor drawing on a combination of therapeutic models and techniques to help you improve your well-being, which include person-centred therapy ,cognative -behavioural therapy, mindfulness and creative approches. If you need a calm and supportive space to explore and overcome emotional difficulties and learn to be a happier healthier you.I offer an integrative approach to counselling, based upon your needs and goals. If you suffer anxiety, depression, sleep issues, stress, bereavement, relationship problems or any other issues please get in touch. I work with adults as well as children, young people. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk and explore your thoughts and feelings and help you to come up with solutions to help yourself on your journey to recovery.

I have worked with young people for the past 22 years in a school environment covering issues that young people face day to day, I work with children and adults with SEND needs. EG ASD, Aspergers, ADHD, I work with children who are on the waiting list for CAMHs.

As a registered member of the British Association if Counselling & Psychotherapy I follow the principals of good practice outlined in their ethical framework. I also hold a current DBS enhanced registration.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
