About me

You don't have to carry your story alone.

I'm Dominik, a Gestalt counsellor based near London Bridge, Clock House and Chislehurst stations. I work specifically with men who feel isolated by societal expectations, survivors of sexual abuse, and migrants navigating the complex grief of displacement.

Through volunteering in suicide prevention and supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, I have seen how silence and shame can trap us, and I've dedicated my practice to helping men and survivors break that silence in a safe, non-judgemental space. Just as I understand that silence, I also know what it feels like to be an expat caught in the middle—not fully at home in your chosen country, yet no longer fully at home in your motherland either.

My approach is simple: I don't "fix" you. I walk beside you to help you process what you've been carrying, reclaim your voice, and build a life where you feel safe to be yourself.

Who I Help & How

I offer a trauma-informed, relational approach that honours your pace. My work is focused on three groups who often feel misunderstood:

Men Navigating Emotional Isolation: If you've been taught that "strength" means silence, I help you challenge that. We explore grief, anger, and the pressure to "be a man" in a way that feels authentic to you, not the world.
Note: My practice focuses on healing and emotional growth. For immediate life-threatening crises, I provide clear, compassionate referrals to emergency services.

Survivors of Sexual Abuse: I offer a safe space to process trauma without shame. We work at your pace to move from feeling broken to feeling empowered and whole.

Migrants & Exiles: As a fellow expat, I deeply understand the unique loneliness of displacement, the grief of leaving home, and the struggle to find where you belong.

I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ identity, always grounding our work in your unique story and experience of belonging.

How we work together: We don't just talk about your past; we explore how it lives in your body and your relationships now. We might use creative tools, metaphors, or simply the power of presence to unlock feelings that are hard to put into words. My goal is to help you feel understood, not analysed, so you can move from survival to living.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
