About me
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). My training includes working with different counselling approaches, and I will always aim to work with clients using the approach they most respond to and feel comfortable with, including their preference for telephone or online counselling.
As well as my qualifications, I feel my own life experience is equally as important in my ability to keep an open mind as to how messy and challenging life can often be. I provide 1:1 counselling which is your opportunity to bring whatever feelings; concerns or experiences you want to the sessions. This will be a safe space for you to feel heard and to build an understanding of yourself. I will not judge you or tell you what to do.
I have a genuine interest in people, and my background includes 36 years in the Care Sector, including work with learning disabilities, Autism and ADHD. In that time, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of people from all walks of life, with different experiences including, those affected by road traffic collision, domestic violence and vision loss. I work with both adults and adolescents aged 10 to 18 yrs.
