About me
It’s not always easy to reach out, but you don’t have to face things on your own.
I’m a qualified counsellor currently working within NHS Talking Therapies. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind and feel truly heard.
I work with a range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, life changes, and the challenges of living with long-term or chronic pain.
We will work together in a way that feels right for you, at your pace, with no pressure or judgement. Together, we can begin to make sense of things and find a way forward that feels more manageable.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor with five years of training in humanistic, person-centred, and integrative approaches. I hold a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and a Level 4 and Level 5 Higher Diploma in Counselling.
My training allows me to work in a flexible and responsive way, adapting how I work to suit you as an individual. My approach is grounded in empathy, honesty, and acceptance, creating a space where you can feel safe to be yourself.
I have many years' experience working within NHS Talking Therapies, supporting people with a range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, life changes, and the emotional impact of long-term or chronic health conditions.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you. I am committed to working safely and ethically, with regular supervision to support the work we do together.
My training and experience enable me to tailor counselling to each individual, valuing the therapeutic relationship as central to meaningful and effective change.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
