About me

I am a registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist and qualified Psychosexual Therapist, currently available for online sessions only.  My approach to therapeutic work is integrative, relational, collaborative and client focused. Our lives are a series of ever-shifting contexts and challenges, raising questions about our own sense of identity, agency and meaning.  I offer a welcoming and confidential environment to explore and make sense of your experiences, including psychosexual and relational difficulties and significant life events (full list of presentations worked with available below).

I enjoy working with both adult individuals and couples.  I take an integrative stance, focusing on the subjectivity of individual experience,  meaning that I am able to offer a tailored approach to my clients.  This may be informed by a range of perspectives - particularly ACT, attachment, compassion focused and humanistic - and inevitably focuses on the relationship we forge with ourselves and others.

I have over 10 years of counselling experience and have been a qualified Counselling Psychologist working in an NHS acute hospital setting for over five years.  I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC and as a Chartered Psychologist with the BPS.  I have also completed a COSRT accredited two year Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy.

Therapies offered:

  • Integrative Therapy
  • Psychosexual therapy
  • Couples Therapy
  • Humanistic Therapy

HCPC

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
