About me
Hi, I am an HCPC registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist and COSRT registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist offering sessions in person and online. My approach to therapeutic work is integrative, relational, collaborative and client focused. Human existence is a series of ever-shifting contexts and challenges, raising questions about our own sense of identity, agency and meaning and I seek to offer a welcoming and confidential environment to explore and make sense of your experiences.
I have run a private practice for five years working with both couples and individuals - I have particular interests in relational and psychosexual difficulties and navigating significant life events (see below for a more complete list of presentations that I feel equipped to support clients with). Alongside my private practice, I work in an NHS acute hospital oncology setting supporting cancer patients and their partners and families so I am familiar with the impact that diagnosis and treatment may have. I have a specialist focus on how sex and relationships are affected by the disease but also long experience of supporting the adaptation to living with cancer, whether curative or advanced, as well as working with end of life challenges, anticipatory bereavement and loss.
I choose to work integratively which means that I am able to offer a tailored approach to clients. Theories help me frame understanding and I am informed by a range of perspectives - ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), attachment theories, CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy) and humanistic approaches. However, my approach focuses on individual experience and the relationships that we form with ourselves and others - including in the therapy room - so my hope above all is that you will feel safe to be seen and heard and that together we can navigate your therapeutic path.
Therapies offered:
Integrative Therapy
Psychosexual therapy
Couples Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
If you would like to explore the possibility of working together, I offer a free introductory conversation (usually about 20 minutes) - please note my working hours as it will be during this these times. Please message or email with brief details of what you are looking for if you would like to arrange this.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have 15 years of counselling experience and have been a qualified Counselling Psychologist working in the NHS for almost 10 years and privately for 5 years. I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC and as a Chartered Psychologist with the BPS. I have also completed a two year Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy and am a registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist (RegCORST). I remain curious and continue to engage with CPD, both for professional and personal reasons.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.
All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.
