Hello, I am Dawn, and I welcome you to find the support that you need from the services offered at Willow Psychotherapy.
If you are feeling the effects of stress or anxiety such as poor sleep, low self-esteem or low confidence, life can feel challenging. Through bespoke counselling, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface and work together to develop healthier coping strategies that bring more balance into your daily life.
I specialise in providing pluralistic counselling for grief, bereavement, depression and trauma. If you are navigating the deep grief that follows the loss of a loved one, you don’t have to face it alone. You may be living with the effects of a traumatic experience that has led to PTSD or depression, experiencing flashbacks or a loss of identity, making it difficult to feel fulfilled or hopeful. As an accredited Psychotherapist, I will use methodology, empathy and a thorough understanding of your experiences to support you with compassion to guide you toward greater peace, resilience and happiness.
I also offer a specialist counselling service that offers support for those diagnosed with MND and their families. Having had personal experience caring for others with this disease and a clear understanding of the support that is needed for all affected and touched by a diagnosis, I can offer empathic and knowledgeable support if you are struggling with stress, anxiety or grief. Using some strategies of the endorsed methodology of ACT Therapy for those affected by MND, I will guide you through holistic coping strategies to enable you to find more inner peace and calm.
Willow Psychotherapy, offers a welcoming, professional, and confidential setting for you to explore your issues. Together we will work at your pace through the issues that you feel are important and difficult for you to face alone.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I have a variety of times available for sessions on most days, but I am closed on Fridays.
