About me

If you're feeling overwhelmed, you don't have to face it alone. I am here to provide a safe space to explore what's going on, helping you to move forward. I  work with bereavement, anxiety, relationships, trauma, depression and low self-confidence.

  • Anxiety:
Do you feel stuck, no matter how hard you try to move forward? Does every day decisions spiral into endless "what if's"?
Maybe you lie awake at night, exhausted but unable to switch off your thoughts.  Your mind races, replaying conversations, predicting worst-case scenarios, and filling you with self doubt.  Even simple tasks can feel overwhelming, and you may find yourself avoiding things you once managed with ease.
Living with anxiety can be draining.  It can quietly shrink your world and stop you living the life you want.
Together, we can gently explore what's driving your anxiety and help you feel calmer, more grounded and more confident in your day to day life.  Change doesn't have to happen all at once - we will work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
  • Grief counselling:
Grief is a deeply personal journey - one that can feel so lonely.  No-one talks about it, and you end up wanting to hide away because you can't pretend that you're "fine". Grief can impact all areas of your life.  Maybe you are experiencing intense and unwanted feelings following the loss of a loved one. You may be finding that these feelings are affecting your relationships and causing you to feel lonely and isolated. Grief can feel like a weight which is to much to bear and leaves you feeling unsure of who you are and how to move forward. As a experienced grief counsellor I specialise in bereavement, complex grief. Together, we will explore your grief in a way that allows space for both the pain and the love that remains. . My goal is to help you honour the bond with your loved one, while navigating through the pain.
  • Trauma: You may have carried something on your shoulders for many years, telling yourself it is best not to burden anyone.  Perhaps every day feels shaped by the past. You might find yourself constantly on edge, reacting strongly to things that others seem unaffected by, or unable to stop thinking about what happened. Sleep may be disturbed by unwanted memories or nightmares which remind you of what you experienced.
Living like this can be exhausting, especially if you have spent your whole life being strong for other people and it can impact all areas of your life such as relationships, confidence and sense of ease.
Together,  we will gently unpack what you have been holding.  At your pace, we'll focus on healing, understanding your experience, building self awareness and helping you feel calmer and more grounded.  The aim is not to erase the past, but to help you carry if differently - so sleep improves, reactions soften and life feels more manageable and enjoyable again.
  • Relationship Challenges: Are you struggling in your relationships?  Maybe you keep having the same arguments over and over again. Do you feel something needs to change but are unsure what that is?  Maybe you would like to find a way to build stronger, healthier relationships.  Together we can explore the challenges you're facing and gain a deeper understanding of your needs.  I'll support you in making sense of your situation, improving communication and creating lasting, positive connections in your relationships.

Reach out today to arrange a free initial telephone call.  We can discuss how we can work together and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.  It is important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor, so there is no pressure to book after this call - just a chance to see if we're the right fit.
