About me

Introduction:

I know that life can be difficult and, at times, feel unfair. Having experienced both sides of the therapeutic relationship—as a client and a counsellor—I deeply empathise with the emotions you may be facing. Seeking support takes immense courage, and I am here to walk alongside you on your journey.

In my counselling practice, I take a client-centred approach, tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs. As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to ensure our work together is both effective and personalised. Together, we will create a safe and supportive space that fosters growth, healing, and self-discovery. Your journey matters, and I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Therapy is not just about being heard—it’s about growth and change. Sometimes, you may need a space to simply be heard, and I will be there to listen with empathy and understanding. At other times, I will ask thoughtful questions and gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns or behaviours. My approach is always tailored to your needs, balancing support with gentle encouragement toward meaningful change.

What to expect in your first session:

I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting, and you may have questions about what to expect from therapy. If you’d like to learn more, I offer a complimentary, no-obligation 30-minute introductory meeting. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore your goals, and discuss how I can support you on your journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have undertaken 4 years of training culminating in obtaining a Certificate and the BACP accredited Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Professional Diploma.

The BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) is a professional association for members of the counselling profession. It provides an ethical framework to ensure that the counsellor works in the best interest of clients at all times. More information can be found at: www.bacp.co.uk

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I value working with a diverse range of clients, as it enables me to continually deepen my understanding of each individual's needs.

In addition to my private practice, I work with a charity to provide counselling to students aged 12 to 16 at local schools. I also offer part-time therapy to adults through the charity Mind.
