About me

A brief overview...

I am an Integrative Counsellor drawing on many techniques i have learnt through working therapeutically with people for 30 years and Counselling in private practice for 15 years. I like to work in a friendly, informal and 'real ' way, and I care loads about my clients.

I work with most areas, such as Relationship, life changes and stresses, and resolving past and present challenges.

For Individuals

I mix talking for understanding, with practices and processes that help to get to the centre of your issues, calming the stories that the mind plays out, updating the patterns held by our subconscious, and healing the hurts held by our body and nervous system. I offer practises to take with you to help manage emotions and provide support to keep the healing going between sessions.

I'm a firm believer that we have to work holistically, and that change really happens when we bring heart, mind, body and spirit together.

For Couples

I help create effective communication so that we can have a conversation, to start adressing the tensions that need resolving, and identify the patterns that we often get stuck in. I help with practical tools that provides the framework for change to take place

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
