I am a UKCP registered counsellor/psychotherapist offering sessions in Central London and Alresford (near Winchester), Hampshire.
I work integratively, influenced by Transpersonal, Jungian and person-centred approaches. In my work I aim to offer an experience of support, solace, reflection, exploration, imagination, and creativity. I have a special interest in assisting clients to access the guidance inherent in dreams.
I have several years' experience with the NHS, including as a one to one therapist and a group facilitator, and currently work as a Senior Psychological Therapist for Mind, the mental health charity. I am a trained Mindfulness group leader.
I offer short and medium term counselling work, as well as longer-term psychotherapy. Shorter term work (taking it a few weeks at a time in the first instance) would likely focus on particular distressing issues you are seeking to address, whilst psychotherapy tends to be open-ended and more exploratory in nature.
Psychotherapy may be suitable if you wish to take the time and space to reflect on your experiences more deeply - perhaps you feel the need for change but are not certain where to begin, or perhaps you have tried other, shorter-term forms of help which have not met your needs. Perhaps you do not feel you have a specific 'problem' but wish to invest in yourself and live more in accordance with your deeper values and goals.
Please get in touch if you have any unanswered questions about my background, way of working or fees, including low cost therapy.
If you would like to meet me and get an experience of how it might be for us to work together, likewise, please drop me a line to arrange an initial consultation.
Please note my London availability is limited to Tuesday daytime and evenings.
