About me
Hello my name is Darren Boyle I am a registered and Accredited member of the BACP
Face to Face counselling now available with social distancing in place
Telephone counselling and Zoom video calls plus Whats App video calls also available with concessions for all NHS workers and those in the caring field who may be in need of support at this very difficult time.
I offer face to face counselling in a safe and welcoming setting which is easily accessible. Location of venues for appointments can be discussed and tailored round your needs to ease any concerns about privacy. Weekend appointments are available should you find it difficult to find time on a week day. My approach is to work within your needs and find possible solutions which will help you move forward in life.
I offer sessions to suit your needs, short term (6 sessions) which can work effectively and are humanistic and solution focused, or longer term sessions when required. As a registered member of the BACP I work closely to their ethical guidelines to enhance and inform my practice.
Unresolved issues can create further stress and anxiety if not challenged and are often better discussed in a non judgmental environment to enable you to make decisions that may change how you feel.
Counselling will provide you with the space to explore these issues offering complete confidentiality throughout.
Making a decision to bring counselling into your life can in itself be a challenging and frightening step to make. To ease these concerns we can speak on the phone to discuss your first appointment and venue details.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
