About me

Perhaps you are overwhelmed by the pressures of life, stuck in a rut, repeating negative patterns, or trying to find a way out of anxiety or depression?

Maybe you are having relationship difficulties, suffering a bereavement, trauma, feeling isolated, lonely, or simply want to take charge of your life and make some changes to the way you think and relate to others? This may bring up challenging questions too unsettling to think about on your own. Meeting together on a regular basis in the safety of my comfortable consulting rooms, we can attempt to confront your fears and find ways to approach life's obstacles in a manageable way, generating the potential for positive change.

My Approach

I am a qualified and experienced therapist with a flexible approach, who will listen in a non-judgemental way, offer caring confidential support and help to guide you to discover where your difficulties may stem from.

We often ignore or bury painful experiences from the past even though they can continue to affect the way we behave and think in the present. Exploring these experiences results in a deeper understanding of yourself and others.
It can be beneficial to talk to an experienced therapist with an unbiased perspective, who can offer a safe space to talk and is not connected to family or friends.

I work with individuals on a once-or-twice weekly basis for time limited and open ended psychotherapy.

If you are not in a position to work in an open ended way, or do not wish to, then time limited work is a very effective way to work with those individuals who have clearly defined problems. It is designed to give you some helpful tools to build on once sessions are over. Time limited work usually lasts for 6-12 sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at WPF Therapy gaining a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice which is accredited by the University of Roehampton.
WPF was recognised as one of the leading Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic training bodies in the UK and has maintained a reputation for both clinical and academic excellence for over 40 years.

I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy & Counselling (FPC) and comply with ethical codes of practice. I work to best practice standards which have been designed to ensure the safety, privacy and confidentiality of my clients.

I hold a Diploma at Post Graduate level in Specialist Psychotherapy with Ex Boarders.

In addition, I am a qualified EMDR Therapist and integrate these skills into my client work depending on their needs.

I currently work online and in Putney in Private practice and have previously been a counsellor at WLT Fulham and WPF (Westminster Pastoral Foundation) London.
