About me

I am a Psychosynthesis Therapist offering Online and In-Person sessions in Kent, England.

I use a variety of approaches to include the whole of you, this means will will work somatically (body)  with inner parts and conflicts using an IFS approach (mind) and to connect to what is meaningful in life and brings you alive (spirit)

Whatever the suffering you have encountered on your journey, I will meet you right where you are.  It is in this space in the therapy room we can encounter these issues and begin to find not just healing, but meaning. Your story is personal and unique and that needs to be honoured, that is why my therapy is not a one size fits all.

There could be many paths that have led you here. You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, anger or whatever it may be.

These symptoms may be putting a strain on your life and relationships. I do not work to simply treat a symptom, I work to create deep shifts and healing. For example, if you have a headache caused by a tooth ache, you need the tooth repaired and not painkillers. Sometimes of course, you need both.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Psychosynthesis is a Integrative Psychology that draws upon many disciplines to cater the therapy to your emerging process. There are two core aspects of Psychosynthesis, these are Awareness and Will. We will work together to identify and build awareness around patterns of behaviour but also develop the will to change your life and make the appropriate steps to do this. It is not helpful to build awareness without the capacity to change our circumstances.

Techniques used can involve:

- Visualisation
- Body/somatic work
- Subpersonality work (Simular to IFS, Internal Family Systems)
- Drawing
- Shadow Work
- Meditation and more.

Psychosynthesis is the process of differentiation and Integration, meaning, you unhook yourself from past traumas, limiting beliefs and mind-sets and connect to who you most essentially are and integrate and bring that into the world.
