About me

If you feel stressed, depressed, lacking in self-confidence, dissatisfied with life or feel you have no direction, psychotherapy can help you.

We all experience difficulties in our lives from time to time and need someone to talk to...

I am an experienced, professionally trained and UKCP Reg. counsellor and psychotherapist based in Warwick Avenue and also Shepherds Bush in West London.

Often we have to learn to contain and interpret our emotions. Through empathy and creating a safe and trusting environment, I will help you to get in tune with yourself and your feelings. This way you will be able to awaken your inner guidance, which can become a reliable source in all situations.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with CCPE, a UKCP and BACP accredited Counselling and Psychotherapy Post-Graduate Diploma.
I am particularly experienced in the areas of infertility and pregnancy loss, relationship issues, domestic violence, depression, lost of identity and cultural issues. I also deal with a broad range of issues including panic and anxiety, childhood abuse, life crisis, grief and bereavement.

I currently work for a central London woman's service as well as working privately in Maida Vale, close to Paddington, Little Venice, St John’s and within easy reach of Queen's Park, Kilburn, Bayswater, Notting Hill Gate and Central London and also in Shepherds Bush situated on the border of Ravenscourt Park.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I worked over 10 years in the financial world and have experience of the demands and stresses experienced by people in the workplace.

My Brazilian background enables me to offer therapies either in English or Portuguese language.

Integrative Psychotherapy
My training is in Transpersonal and Integrative Psychotherapy. I choose to work integratively, which means bringing together many schools of thought such as Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Existential as well as the Transpersonal and is designed to engage you physically, emotionally, cognitively, interpersonally and spiritually. I offer the opportunity to work with creative materials in my sessions, which include visualisations.

From this shared space, uninspected beliefs and deeply held bodily tensions can rise to the surface and be made conscious. This clears the way for a more authentic life where we are connected to the deepest part of others and ourselves and we can live in a more responsible and creative way.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy - CCPE Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education
  • Integrated Training Course: Domestic Violence Identifying, Understanding and Responding
  • Certificate in the Foundations of Counselling & Psychotherapy - CCPE
