About me
We all hold within us the potential to thrive, my aim is to support you in achieving this so you can live a happier and more fulfilling life going forwards, whatever you have faced in the past.
Connecting with our emotions can help us better understand, process and heal from the challenges in life that negatively impact our wellbeing. Too often we try to (or feel we should) do this alone, leaving us isolated in our suffering.
In our sessions, we will gently and compassionately explore your situation together in a supportive and safe environment to help empower you to make the changes you wish to make. I have been described as friendly, calming, compassionate and empathetic. I was drawn to becoming a counsellor after experiencing first-hand how helpful counselling can be. I learnt that I don’t have to face the challenges of life alone, and I believe you don’t have to either.
I offer one-to-one Integrative Counselling to adults over 18 years old, Tuesday to Thursday daytimes.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (BSc Hons) and hold accredited membership with the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
Areas I have experience of working with include anxiety, depression, bereavement & loss, relationships, stress, trauma. I have particular experience of working with the emotional impacts of health & chronic illness, having volunteered for a cancer support charity for a number of years.
I am a member of the UKCP, ACTO, and I have an enhanced DBS certificate as I am dedicated to working to high ethical standards.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
