About me

Living with a chronic health condition can affect so much more than your physical health. Perhaps you are struggling with the uncertainty of your condition, grieving the life you expected to have, or finding that your identity, relationships, work or sense of independence have changed.

You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, overwhelm or exhaustion, or simply feel that you have nowhere to put all the thoughts and emotions. When your health changes, there can be a sense of loss for the person you were, the things you could do, and the future you had imagined. Counselling can provide space to process these changes and explore who you are now.

Alongside my work with chronic health conditions, I can also support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, bereavement and loss, life adjustments and trauma.

I offer a compassionate space where you can talk openly about what you are going through. There is no expectation that you need to be positive or resilient, or that you have everything figured out. Together, we can gently explore your experiences and find ways of supporting you that feel right for you.

If you feel that counselling might be helpful, please get in touch. We can arrange an initial consultation to explore what you are looking for and whether I might be the right counsellor for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

My way of working is compassionate and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on self-acceptance and developing a kinder relationship with yourself and your experiences.

I am a UKCP-accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and work integratively, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, behavioural and embodied approaches.

I am also credentialed by Mind, hold an enhanced DBS, attend regular supervision and ongoing training.

Outside of counselling, I come from a domiciliary care background and have volunteered for a cancer charity that is close to my heart for many years.
