About me
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about the support I offer.
I am a fully qualified Therapist and a Registered Member of the BACP, with experience working with both adults and young people from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.
Throughout my work, I have supported clients facing many different challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, bereavement, domestic abuse, suicidal thoughts, sexual abuse, substance misuse, and loss. I also have experience working with children and young people.
I believe that creating a safe, trusting, and supportive therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. Together, we can gently explore the difficulties that may have led you to seek support, always at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My approach is compassionate, non-judgemental, and centred around helping you feel heard, understood, and supported.
My counselling modality is person-centred therapy — a gentle, empowering, and non-invasive approach that allows you to explore your thoughts and emotions in a way that feels right for you, with guidance and support throughout the process.
Coming from a military background and having experience with many different cultures has given me a strong understanding of the unique challenges people may face and the importance of empathy, resilience, and connection.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, especially when fear of judgement or uncertainty feels overwhelming. Please know that you do not have to face things alone. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and together we can create a safe space where you feel comfortable to explore whatever is on your mind.
If you would like any further information, please feel free to get in touch, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
Remember — this is your time now.

Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as a therapist after completing a three-year counselling course at Leeds City College. At the time, this pathway suited my family life and provided the same level of professional training and commitment as a university-based course.
During my training, I completed both my Level 3 and Level 4 Diploma, undertook 100 hours of placement work with a domestic violence and abuse charity, and completed my own personal therapy sessions as part of my professional development.
Since qualifying, I have successfully completed an invigilated competency assessment with the BACP, which led to my registered membership status.
I continue to develop my practice through regular monthly supervision and ongoing CPD training, allowing me to expand my knowledge and skills to best support my clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
