About me

Life is not perfect - and that is ok.   As a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor who works with both adults and children, I offer a solution-focused therapeutic space where we can work together to find you resolutions that will support you in creating calm in a world that can be messy and unpredictable at times – a world where you can feel stuck in certain patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you.

I have experienced many of the ups and downs that life can throw at us and it is this experience that motivates me to work within the field of counselling as I understand life can be complicated and how important it is, at these times, to receive support and not feel judged.

During our sessions, you can speak openly about the different thoughts, feelings and emotions that you are experiencing and I will offer support without judging you or telling you what to do. There is no limit or boundary to what you can discuss in our sessions.

I have also spent over 20 years working in the education sector and gained much experience of working with the many and varied struggles that young people face as they approach adulthood.  In particular, I have worked with many young people from the neurodiverse community – with or without a formal diagnosis – and understand how the way they process information, think and experience the world differs from others.  This can create challenges, which with support, they can learn to navigate in their own unique way.

Based in Writtle, Chelmsford, I offer a holistic pathway to healing as I use an integrative approach suited to support you in reaching the personal aims and goals you want to achieve from therapy. Approaches I use include: person centred, psychodynamic, transactional analysis and cognitive behavioural therapy.  We will find the right fit for you.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you want to discuss how I may be able to support you or someone that you love.  I offer a free 15 minute phone call to have an informal chat about why now is the right time to benefit from therapeutic support.
