About me
I’m Claire. I am a Senior Accredited Counsellor providing safe and supportive online counselling sessions. I work with a wide range of people but I specialise in working with individuals from the LGBTQ+ and GSRD community, those who are neurodivergent (or think they might be) as well as Millennials and Gen Z-ers.
As a member of the queer community myself I understand some of the challenges or concerns which people within the community may experience. This can often be in terms of identity, a sense of needing to define yourself, relationships whether that be romantic ones or with friends and family, at work or in other aspects of life. Similarly, those experiencing neurodiversity can often struggle with their connections and relationships with others or with day to day functioning and tasks.
During sessions, we can look at what’s brought you to counselling and discover ways to help you move forward, gain clarity or find solutions. It can also be a safe and respectful space to express yourself and try new things.
If it sounds like you would want to know more or work together, please do send an enquiry.
What my clients say about working with me
"Really helpful and I would be in a much worse place without having that."
"I've really appreciated the space to process."
"I have found it useful to come see you each week... and it certainly gave me the push to reach out to and confront some people about issues that were upsetting me."
"I feel like I've came to terms with a lot of the issues internally."
What to expect from counselling
The heart of counselling is a good relationship between client and counsellor. Because of this I always suggest an initial session to talk about why you’re coming to counselling, what your hopes are, as well as for you to be able to ask any questions you might have. It is also a chance for us to meet and see if we feel like we would get along working together. For the initial session, I offer a reduced rate.
Once we have agreed to work together sessions will be arranged for a regular time each week via Zoom or telephone. I provide both long and short-term counselling (so a minimum of six weeks through to ongoing work for as long as needed).
Getting in touch with me is a simple process of clicking the ‘email me’ button or visiting my website and contacting me from there.
