About me
Navigating life’s inevitable challenges, emotions or changes may have left you feeling low or anxious, struggling with loss or uncertainty, repeating destructive patterns that impact relationships, existing but not feeling fully in the world with a general feeling of unease and dissatisfaction - whatever has brought you here, I offer a warm, safe and supportive space in which we can explore this together in the hope of developing the skills, awareness and resilience to meet life with more ease.
I like to think of our relationship as one in which we will try and work things out together bringing an awareness to what is no longer serving you, what it’s role may have been; and with that awareness, find a space in which it's possible to make kinder choices that support feeling more fulfilled, more authentic, and more closely aligned with what’s important.
I am trauma informed and draw on mindfulness and compassion practice to foster awareness, emotional regulation, the ability to sit with the uncomfortableness and build resilience. I have a particular interest in third wave CBT therapies such as ACT, MBCT and CFT that involve looking at our internal world and how we relate to it. In working with these models I may invite you to practice, or suggest exercises outside of the session, in order to strengthen the skill of awareness, as well as to experience ( in the felt sense) different ways of being, opening the door to new possibilities.
I have worked in a mental health setting since 2016 previously having worked for a busy wellbeing service at MIND. I hold a diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have trained as a Mindfulness teacher with the Sussex Mindfulness Centre. I undertake continuing professional development by reading, attending courses, lectures and online events and undergo regular supervision. I am a registered member of the BACP
Although I regularly see clients longer term, I also offer short term focussed work on a specific issue - depending on your needs.
I offer 50 minute weekly sessions either online or in person. I have limited spaces in my Brighton practice room, but am able to offer spaces from my home in Seaford

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
