About me
That's it!! You've had enough of feeling this way and being misunderstood as an Autistic or ADHD person!! Regular therapy hasn't worked and you are now seeking something which accommodates your unique needs. You need a therapist who gets it!! I hope that therapist is me.
No! This is about YOU not me - Why are you here?
You may be struggling with your sense of self and feel your identity is fractured. Causing stress, depression or low mood. Maybe you have experienced trauma or bullying, racism or are stuck in a cycle of burnout. Late diagnosis opens more questions than it answers!! or maybe life and relationships are no longer fulfilling. There are MANY reasons a neurodivergent person may need a therapist, it's not always because of the neurodivergence - but life itself!!
As a Therapist and Coach for neurodivergent people who may have had a "regular" therapy and found it didn't accommodate their neurodivergence, my therapy style takes into account your neurodivergence and helps you towards making peace or sense of situations which have occurred throughout your life.
Some clients I see are late diagnosed or self-realising and are starting to make sense of their lives through a neurodivergent lens. Releasing shame and anxiety so they can live more fulfilling lives. Others have received a childhood diagnosis and weren't adequately supported to know how it would play out in adulthood.
I help ADHD and Autistic people with processing and understanding how trauma, bullying, racism, discrimination and domestic abuse etc has impacted their lives and work to empower them so they can move forward with confidence.
I have 20+ years working with vulnerable adults and young people within Local Authority, Children's Services and education. I became a therapist in order to help people on a deeper level. If you want to find out more about me, feel free to check out my website and find more about me.

ADULTS - Therapy Sessions
The therapy I offer is a reflection of what I longed for as a client, one that is neuro affirming, trauma informed and accepting of the true me. I blend approaches in a creative manner as I know as humans we engage and communicate in varying ways so one size doesn’t fit all!!
I pride myself on providing jargon free and simplicity therapy sessions. Relaxed, informal and inviting I find it helpful to use psychoeducation (talking about "why" we do things) , somatic (how the mind /body connect to a situation) and creative approaches alongside the talking.
The CORE of the work we will do together regardless of what brings you into Therapy/Coaching will be EMPOWERMENT. I am Person Centred trained and utilise many elements from other theories to provide a blended, integrative and neuro-affirming style of therapy.
Session with me will be collaborative, creative and reflective, there is ZERO pressure for you to do or to bring more than you have capacity to deal with. I am guided by what benefits YOU the most.
The foundations of how I work are Neuro-Affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, Trauma Informed and Respecting Diversity.
ADULTS - Coaching
Sometimes coaching is a better option if you are looking for something more directive or need help in achieving a goal or lifestyle choice. Coaching is great as a tool to help you understand and recognise aspects of your ADHD or Autism and ways to help you find strategies to support your professional or personal needs. I can accept private funded payment or Access to Work payments for this service.
YOUNG PEOPLE 11+ Coaching
I don't offer therapy for young people but I do coach them. Having my own young person who didn't gel with traditional therapy as they found it too emotive, I have worked on refining my coaching so it meets the needs of young people. This service is provided in collaboration with the appropriate adult and the young person. The coaching is used to help the young person feel more empowered about their neurodivergence and be able to have the confidence in understanding their needs and advocating to get their needs met.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
