I know how difficult it can be to make the first appointment but this first step will support you to make the changes in your life that you want. My private counselling practice is confidential and welcoming. It will help you explore the things in life that may be bothering you, however, big or small. I am a highly qualified and experienced Counsellor helping people with a range of issues including, Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic, OCD, Low Self-Esteem, Stress and Work-Related Stress, Relationship Problems, Anger Management, Depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Sessions are either face to face or virtual, with online appointments via Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp or via the telephone.
The first session will support you to explore things that you might like to change, identifying existing difficulties and other issues that might be contributing towards problematic areas in your life.
Counselling sessions typically last an hour but I also offer 30 minute sessions and depending on your individual needs take place weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Discounted rates are also available.

I have previously worked as an associate CBT counsellor for Cwm Taff NHS counselling service, and for Cardiff University, and worked with large healthcare providers including referrals through an employee assistance programme and other health and wellbeing providers.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
