About me

Feeling lost and misunderstood? As someone who relocated from Hong Kong to London myself, I understand the emotional challenges that come with major life transitions.

Hello, I'm Chin (Victor), a BACP Registered Integrative counsellor. Drawing from both Eastern and Western philosophies, my practice offers a unique perspective shaped by professional training and lived experience, including work within the NHS, cultural transition, social unrest, and life as a sexual minority. Like many of my clients, I also engage in my own therapy journey and receive regular supervision. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, with sessions available in both English and Cantonese, online and in-person.

Common themes in my practice:

  • Cultural transitions and identity
  • LGBTQIA+ experiences
  • Life changes and uncertainty
  • Managing overwhelming emotions

What to expect when working with me:

  • A compassionate and safe space to explore your concerns at your own pace
  • An approach that draws on multiple therapeutic modalities based on your unique needs
  • Regular check-ins about our progress together

Our work together will help you:

  • Gain deeper self-understanding and acceptance
  • Learn to navigate daily triggers with growing confidence
  • Build more meaningful connections with others
  • Move from feeling emotionally overwhelmed to responding with clarity
  • Move toward a life that feels authentic to you

I typically respond to inquiries within 48 hours. Ready to take the first step? My free 20-minute consultation (via my website) gives us both a chance to see if we're a good fit before committing to regular sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP-registered counsellor, trained at The Awareness Centre where I completed my Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling (BACP accredited). My foundation began at CITYLIT with a Certificate in Counselling Skills, and I continue to expand my knowledge through regular professional development.

Working across different sectors - from government to private companies and NGOs - has given me insight into various life challenges and working environments. I pride myself on creating an adaptable and inclusive therapeutic space where we can work together at your pace and in a way that suits your individual needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
