About me
My approach to CBT is humanistic and blended, which I believe allows for a custom treatment plan to suit your goal and leave therapy with not only a deeper understanding of self, but new tools and coping mechanisms. I bring elements of Emotion Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Art Therapy to my practice. My experience allows me to support adults, young people and children who may be struggling anxiety and depressive disorders, including, OCD, Phobias, Low Self Esteem, PTSD and Personality Disorders.
Over the years I have gained valuable insight and experience in working with clients living with various types of OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Phobias and men's mental health. My background in HR, means I also specialise in work related issues such as stress, anxiety, absence, redundancy, unemployment or returning to work.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work predominantly in person between Falkirk and Stirling but do offer online if required. in Falkirk there is a secure entry, I can allow you access to the building at a day and time agreed in advance. There are 2 waiting rooms, one as you enter the reception area and one upstairs - both have access to toilets and a kitchen. My office is on the first floor of the building and I ask that you take a seat in the waiting room before your scheduled session, please do not make your way to my room unless previously agreed as I may be with a client or on a call with a client. Unfortunately, this space may not be accessible to all if there is any physical restriction which prevents you from climbing stairs. However, my office in Stirling has an accessible entrance which can be used if I am notified in advance.
When you arrive in Stirling, I ask that you send me a txt to let me know you have arrived and I will let you in as for security reasons, the door will be locked.
If you require any reasonable adjustments for an introductory call or for sessions, then please let me know in advance.
