About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer a warm, safe and confidential space for you to talk about thoughts and feelings that you are struggling to contain and finding that your day to day life is affected.

My skill is to listen without judgement and help you to make sense of your difficulties by offering new perspectives on them and the impact you are feeling. It often helps just to have someone to listen who is not your family or friends.

I have my own private practice which is based at Ransom Wood Business Park which is set in acres of woodland on the outskirts of Mansfield. There is plenty of free parking and a cafe/restaurant on site. It is a tranquil setting that will help bring some calm into your thoughts

Life seems to have taken an unexpected turn for us all, bringing with it many personal challenges. The feeling of isolation and loss as a result of lockdown may have increased your feelings of anxiety and depression. Difficult relationships may be causing you distress and damaging your self- esteem. A bereavement may have left you numb, lost or angry. Your work situation may be causing you sleepless nights and inner worry. Let me help.

Your relationship with a partner may have come under strain during these difficult times. If you need help to bring about change for you both to help address the issues that have got in the way, I offer relationship therapy for couples.

Counselling with me does not have to be a long drawn out process. You may just need someone to talk for a few sessions. We can decide together the support you will need. You will not have to wait weeks or months for a slot. I am here for you now. We can meet by phone, online or face to face in a Covid safe space in my room. Pick up the phone right now or email me to book an appointment.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
