About me
I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor working mainly with a person-centred model. This means I provide a confidential space where I will listen to you without any judgement. We will go at a pace dictated by you and you will always be in control of what you would like to talk about. I also draw on a psychodynamic approach where together we can look at how past experiences may have influenced the situation you find yourself in today. My style is warm, calm and compassionate.
I work with adults (18+) one-on-one in 50-minute online sessions. I can do short-term or long-term work.
I also offer a free 15 minute conversation ahead of starting therapy. This is for me to hear what is bringing you to therapy and for us both to decide whether we are the right fit for each other.
I currently have no evening or weekend sessions available.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have many hours of experience working with adults and young people in a community setting and have recently worked as a school counsellor in a busy secondary school seeing young people between 11 and 18.
I work with a wide range of issues including challenging family relationships, low mood, work-related issues, anxiety, health-related issues, low self-esteem, self-harm and depression.
I am experienced in counselling neuro-divergent young people and their family members as they process neuro-divergent diagnoses and what that might mean for them.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
