About me
Hello, I'm Charlotte.
Are you someone who appears to be coping well on the outside, yet feeling overwhelmed beneath the surface? Have you been holding it together for a long time, but find there has been a cost to yourself?
Perhaps you feel burnt out or have a hum of constant anxiety. Perhaps you feel like you've never truly been able to be yourself, perhaps the overwhelm has taken it's toll.
Many of us can feel like this and reaching out to a counsellor in a sea of faces and options can feel overwhelming.
I offer counselling to adults who are ready to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand themselves more deeply.
Many of the people I work with are adults who look as though they have everything together. They may have spent years adapting themselves to the world around them, but that has taken its toll. They want to understand the cost to themselves and explore who they really are, as they work towards meaningful sustainable change.
I also work with people who beginning to wonder whether neurodivergence may be part of their experience or who have been diagnosed neurodivergent and adapting themselves to a neurotypical world for too long.
How I Work
I genuinely love the work I do. It is a true privilege to welcome clients to my practice and to be trusted with their stories. I don't take for granted the emotional, time and monetary commitment required for regular therapy, as well as the trust placed in me.
Because of this my approach is centred on the relationship between you and me. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely seen, heard and understood.
I'll work with you to build a connection and trust that allows us to explore your experiences and start to understand and challenge long standing patterns.
Rather than offering quick fixes, I work collaboratively and thoughtfully. We go at your pace, and I welcome an open dialogue between us.
I offer ongoing, depth-oriented counselling and do not provide crisis support.
I have a particular interest in working with both diagnosed and undiagnosed adults exploring autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or sensory sensitivity in adulthood.
