About me

Hello and Welcome!

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered to practice with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have extensive experience of working with a wide range of mental health difficulties and I am passionate about improving mental health and working alongside an individual to help them get to where they want to be and feeling how they want to feel.

I am a firm believer in that there is not a one size fits all approach to therapy and as such, I take an integrative approach, drawing upon various models of therapy to work towards meeting your needs. I hold the belief that you are the expert on your life and my role within our sessions, is to help you work through the difficulties you are experiencing.

I provide clinical supervision to Doctoral students and other mental health providers, and I am on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS) with the BPS.

I am an approved provider for AXA PPP, BUPA, WPA, Aviva, Healix Healthcare and Vitality Health.

I hope to be able to join you and help facilitate your journey towards better mental health.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over nine years experience of working within an acute private psychiatric hospital prior to setting up private practice. I have experience of working within an MDT and facilitating group and individual therapy for inpatients and outpatients with various mental health difficulties. I have delivered a range of therapeutic interventions, developing psychological formulations, risk assessments and care plans for individual clients with a range of presenting difficulties in psychiatric and outpatient settings.

I have been an EMDR practitioner for 7 years.

I currently divide my time between private practice and working with individuals in a mental health rehabilitation unit.
