About me
Have you ever paid attention to the way you talk to yourself? Do you encourage yourself, show yourself kindness and compassion, and give yourself praise for all the wonderful things you do and have done? If the answer to that is no, then it is likely that therapy could be really beneficial for you.
I've worked with people experiencing difficulties with low mood and anxious moments for over 10 years, with people just like you. Sometimes life can feel really difficult, and we don't know who to turn to or how to navigate what our next steps need to be. You might be feeling lost, anxious, overwhelmed or really low in mood. Or you may be looking for a space where you can really focus on processing your thoughts and feelings, away from the chaos of everyday life, in a confidential, safe space. We know we want things to change, but we don’t know where to even start, and that’s where I can help. By engaging in therapy we will explore the factors that are contributing to how you are feeling right now, and learn why we respond the way that we do, and how to develop different behaviours, that leave us feeling more at peace. That might include learning how to manage our thoughts differently, implement boundaries, and create ways to find meaning and joy in our everyday life.
I use CBT & EMDR to help you to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, and process life events. I have a special interest in working with parents trying to find balance and boundaries within a busy life, as well social anxiety and self esteem difficulties.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified CBT and EMDR therapist, with over 10 years of experience working with people experiencing mental health difficulties.
