About me

Calm Compassionate Support for Anxiety and Depression.

I’m a therapist who offers a calm, steady space for people who feel overwhelmed, anxious, low, or out of step with the world around them. Many of the people I work with are neurodivergent, often diagnosed with ADHD or autism in adulthood, and are trying to make sense of how their experiences, emotions and patterns fit together.

If you’re living with anxiety, depression, or a sense of constant internal pressure, you’re not alone. These feelings often make everyday life harder than it needs to be, and you don’t have to navigate them by yourself.

How I Work

My approach is Humanistic and Emotion‑Focused, with a strong neurodiversity‑affirming foundation. I understand that anxiety and depression can show up differently for neurodivergent people, through overwhelm, shutdown, masking, exhaustion, difficulty regulating emotions, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

In our sessions, we slow things down and make sense of what’s happening for you. Sometimes that means exploring past experiences; other times it’s about understanding your day‑to‑day reactions, relationships, and the demands placed on your nervous system. I won’t rush you or push you somewhere you’re not ready to go. Instead, I offer a grounded, attuned presence where you can explore your inner world safely and at your own pace.

Why People Choose Me

People often come to me when anxiety or depression is affecting their confidence, relationships, work, or sense of identity. Clients tell me they appreciate having a space where they don’t have to mask, explain, or justify their reactions. I understand how exhausting it can be to manage sensory overload, emotional intensity, or the pressure to “keep up” with expectations that don’t fit how your brain works.

I help you understand your emotional patterns, soften self‑criticism, and develop ways of coping that genuinely work for you. My aim is to help you feel more grounded, more understood, and more connected to yourself.

What You Might Gain

Counselling can help you:

  • Understand your emotions rather than feel overwhelmed by them
  • Reduce anxiety and ease the pressure of constant overthinking
  • Navigate depression with more clarity and self-compassion
  • Explore the impact of masking, burnout or shutdown
  • Build resilience and a steadier sense of self
  • Develop coping strategies
  • Feel more confident in your relationships and decisions
  • Create space for calm, clarity and emotional regulation.

My hope is that you leave sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more able to meet life with steadiness and self-understanding.

I am accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means that I am a regulated member of Counselling organisations and adhere to their codes of ethics.
