About me

Life can get messy, complicated, and really confusing at times. Decisions can become difficult and overthinking may be keeping you stuck in a cycle of worry.
When things go off track you may feel lonely, misunderstood or not good enough.
Perhaps issues and concerns are too tricky to talk through with family and friends and experiences can't be resolved on your own.

This is where counselling can help.

I offer a gentle, person centred approach.

You will be heard, understood and accepted for who you are.

I will be beside you as you find your voice.

You will be given the time to talk about your experiences.

I will be with you to help regulate unpleasant, overwhelming feelings.

And gradually, as your experiences are processed and your pain is soothed, the connection with yourself will strengthen.

Counselling can be a powerful tool for creating a happier, more fulfilling life and for becoming more of the person we want to be.

Self awareness can tell us a lot about ourselves, it can provide greater confidence and self control, without it we may become stuck in unhealthy coping mechanisms.

It's normal to feel nervous about counselling. I am here to help you feel as supported as possible through your healing journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
