About me
You might feel that something isn’t quite right, even if you can’t fully explain why. Perhaps you’ve been carrying things on your own, feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. You may be used to managing, but underneath things feel confusing or difficult to make sense of. You might be looking for a space where you can speak openly, without judgement or expectation, and begin to understand yourself more fully, at your own pace.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I work in a person-centred and experiential way, supporting you to make sense of what’s going on, reconnect with yourself, and move forward in a way that feels empowering and right for you.
Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own. You don’t need to have everything figured out. If something here resonates, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (Level 6) in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy and am currently in the final stage of completing a Master’s degree (MSc) in the same field at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, where I have trained for the past four years.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), having successfully passed its Certificate of Proficiency. I am also a UKCP-registered trainee Person-Centred and Experiential psychotherapist, with over 300 hours of clinical experience, and I hold a degree in Psychology and Person-Centred Counselling.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years working within the education system, including in leadership and advisory roles. Throughout this time, my focus was always on understanding each individual, recognising and valuing who they are, and offering support that felt inclusive, accepting, and responsive to their needs.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
