About me
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, working in private practice at St Margaret's House. I am accredited by The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and fully abide by their code of ethics.
I work with a diverse group of people (18+) with a wide range of issues in one-to-one therapy, both in person and online. I Offer open ended and short-term therapy.
As a psychodynamic therapist I aim to help people reflect on past events, relationships and experiences that may be influencing the way they act in the present. By better understanding these patterns of behaviour we can gain agency over the things we do that may undermine or puzzle us – lingering insecurities, self-sabotage, procrastination etc.
It can be daunting starting therapy. However, it can offer you a secure base to nurture a capacity for change over time. I provide a safe, confidential space where we can talk and think collaboratively without judgment about what troubles you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at WPF where I worked in their clinic for 4 years, I also have experience of working at Maytree a suicidal residential respite centre. I now work in private practice.
Sessions are 50 mins long on a weekly basis. I offer open-ended or short-term therapy (more focused), in person and online, where appropriate.
I have full insurance, my work is supervised on a weekly basis and I continue to attend workshops and seminars to continue my professional development.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Coming to therapy can be difficult sometimes painful. I aim to provide an environment of collaboration and respect offering the freedom to explore and understand the impact traumatic events may have had.
