About me

Hello, my name is Caron. I’m a fully qualified Person-Centred counsellor and member of the BACP. I work with adults, young people and children.

Sometimes we feel low and anxious, lack confidence and getting through the day seems overwhelming. Relationships may seem difficult at times, feeling anxious and confused about others in our lives. There are times when we feel lost or stuck, struggling to make decisions or a sense of not fulfilling our potential. Unresolved past experiences can interfere with our lives in the present. Bereavement can leave us with feelings of despair and emptiness, trying to make sense of our lives after such loss.

I can provide a warm, confidential environment for you to explore thoughts and feelings. We can look at what you want to achieve through counselling and work together towards meeting those needs. I will listen and support you all the way without judgement, we will do this together guided by the direction of your thoughts and feelings. I will be mindful of your experience and tailor therapy that is appropriate for you.

Due to Covid I am currently working via on-line video and telephone. Normally I work face to face from a comfortable and welcoming room located close to Brentwood High Street. The train station is a short walk away and there are regular bus services to the High Street. The M25 (J28) is around 5 mins drive, I can offer parking at my address or there is a municipal carpark across the road.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified counsellor currently working at the Probation Service working with clients, especially men, struggling with anger related problems, relationships and addictions. I also have an additional qualification in working with children and young people. I have experience working within a school environment on issues such as: loss, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, anxiety and depression. When working with children I use Play Therapy, my room is equipped with toys and art materials for children to use in expressing and working through their thoughts and feelings.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
