Carolyn Marshall MBACP (Accred) Counsellor, Supervisor

About me
I am a BACP accredited Counsellor working with individuals, couples. and young people. My approach offers help to people who are facing difficulties such as depression, bereavment, low self esteem, relationship issues and many others. I integrate aspects of psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive approaches into my work, in order to provide the most helpful approach for each client.
People decide to come into counselling for many reasons: Perhaps you are feeling sad, anxious, confused or lost? Are you experiencing difficulties in your relationships with friends or family, or problems at work? May be you are facing a difficult decision or choice. Or are you simply feeling that you would like to take time to reflect on your life, to understand yourself better and to make some changes?
My training and experience enables me to help you to work through some of the areas which concern you now, as well as understanding the impact which previous relationships and life experiences may be having. I believe in counselling as a collaborative process where each client is the "expert" on their own life, and where together we can makes sense of your feelings and thoughts, which in turn can help you to bring about change.
I provide a safe and therapeutic environment where you can explore the issues that concern you in a non-judgemental atmosphere of support, compassion and confidentiality.
I am also able to offer Supervision to fellow Counsellors on an Individual or Group basis.
