About me

A  few years ago my life was turned upside down in a minute and I realised I needed help, sitting outside the Counsellors room was my first step to a different future, I didn't realise it at the time, but talking through my life and what was going on for me, helped me see everything differently.

It made me go onto to study to become a Counsellor and to give back for all the help I received, but I won't lie, it was a big step to take and a lot of thoughts, emotions and feelings to get through, but I feel I am a better me now.

I'm a  qualified Person Centred Therapist, which means that we work with YOU, in YOUR thoughts, feelings and emotions, we talk about YOU and hopefully make sense of how YOU'RE feeling.

Things that interests me are Anxiety and Depression, working with panic attacks and low mood. I also work a lot with Trauma.

We will build a relationship that works for both of us, within 50 minute sessions on a week by week basis, and between us we will manage how many sessions you require, whether it is short or long term, that's something we can work together on.

You will be provided with a safe, non- judgemental place, in confidence (unless harm to self or others ) to discuss anything that you want.

I am a Member of the BACP ( British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) which safeguards, both Client and Counsellor, I work to their code of Ethics.

If you require any further Specialist services then I can gladly refer you onto any relevant services.

Availability at my Mold practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
