About me
Hi, I'm Carolina. I'm a bilingual MBACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and I offer a warm, safe, confidential space where you can explore life’s challenges at your own pace. Each session is a gentle invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and approach your experiences with compassion and curiosity.
If you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, or a sense of feeling lost or overwhelmed, I'm here to help. You don't need a clear goal or a diagnosis to begin therapy. Many people come to me simply because they know that something doesn't feel right.
Whether you're dealing with difficult emotions, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, or navigating a significant life change, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore what's going on for you, at your own pace, without pressure.
I have experience working with a wide range of presenting difficulties, including anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, emotional abuse, attachment trauma, self-harm, and perfectionism.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly expand my knowledge through CPD training.
Who I work with
I support adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. People come to me for many different reasons — some are dealing with anxiety that won't switch off, others with a low mood that has crept in over time. Some are going through a period of change and finding it harder than they expected. Others aren't sure exactly what they need — they just know something feels off.
I can help with anxiety and worry, low mood and depression, stress and feeling overwhelmed, low self-esteem and self-criticism, relationship difficulties, emotional abuse and attachment difficulties, self-harm, and life changes that have left you feeling lost, stuck, or unlike yourself.
I have a particular interest in life transitions, the moments when life shifts, and you find yourself somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming. This might be migration and adjusting to a new country or culture, becoming a parent, midlife questioning, changes in friendships and identity, or simply feeling like you no longer recognise yourself.
Having lived and worked across different countries and cultures myself, I bring both personal and professional insight into the emotional complexities of identity, belonging, and change. I offer a culturally sensitive space and understand firsthand what it means to navigate life between different worlds.
My approach
My approach is integrative and client-centred. This means I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and tailor the work to your individual needs, rather than applying a fixed method to everyone.
I believe that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. You are the expert in your own life. My role is to offer a warm, steady presence, a space where you can think, feel, and explore without judgment. Together, we can look at patterns, deepen self-awareness, build resilience, and support you in moving forward with greater clarity and compassion toward yourself.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on what feels most helpful for you.
Practical information
Sessions are available face-to-face in Leeds, and online across the UK, in English and Spanish. I offer a free 15-minute initial conversation — no obligation, just a chance to talk and see if working together feels right.
You don't have to face this alone. Reaching out is the first step.

I am committed to continually developing my professional knowledge and skills through CPD.
As a counsellor at York St John Community Centre, I experienced working with anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, emotional abuse, attachment trauma, self-harm, and perfectionism.
I work at Battle Scars, an organisation that supports people affected by self-harming. Here, I have built over two years of experience supporting family and friends of individuals affected by self-harm. This work has deepened my understanding of the impact self-harm can have — not only on the person themselves, but also on their loved ones. It has reinforced my belief that compassionate, holistic support is essential — one that considers the broader picture, not just isolated experiences.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
