Carole Chambers MBACP (Accredited)
I offer face to face counselling sessions in a safe environment, with appropriate Covid safety measures in place in a ground floor location with parking facilities nearby.
Hi I'm Carole, thanks for checking out my profile. I have always been interested in people and what makes us who we are, and how life events can affect us all and this interest lead to my becoming a counsellor. I understand that life has many challenges. At times we can find ourselves in a difficult place with thoughts and feelings which we find frustrating and difficult to understand. The feeling of being trapped and out of control can have adverse effects on your quality of life.
As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my practice to meet your individual needs, ensuring that you feel heard and understood allowing us to explore how repetitive cycles of thoughts, feelings and relationships can hold you back. I provide a safe, warm and non judgemental space where you can feel comfortable to explore what's happening with you. We can work together at a suitable pace for you to enable you to explore and develop new perspectives, coping skills and new ways of being so that you can manage the difficulties in your life more effective.
I offer both short term and long term counselling sessions.
As it is important that you feel comfortable in your sessions, I offer a free initial assessment session to allow us to meet and decide if you would like to go ahead and book more sessions. If you feel you would like to book a free face to face or phone session, please feel free to contact me by phone, text or email and I will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
