About me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering help for individuals and couples. I work in Carlisle and over Zoom at present and have daytime and evening appointments available. My work is always tailored to personal need so there are no restraints on the number of sessions you may have. We will agree together how many sessions you require based on your needs and expectations, and this will be reviewed regularly. Individual work is usually weekly or fortnightly.

For couples, my approach is more structured to reflect the needs of the work. I offer courses of around 8 sessions which may be spread over a number of months to allow you to practise using your new knowledge about how to relate to each other.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have Diplomas in Integrative Psychotherapy and Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I am a member of the Humanistic and Integrative College of the UK Council for Psychotherapy.

I work integrating a variety of treatment styles in order to tailor my treatment to the individual. This may include psychoanalytical, psychodynamic, CBT, bodywork, Gestalt, and relational/ developmental approaches. I work in a person centred way so that together we can explore your difficulties both in the here and now , and the life story that may lie behind them.

I  work with people experiencing grief, depression and anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self harm, gender dysphoria, sexual violence, domestic abuse, personality disturbance, caring responsibilities, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, eating disorders, panic attacks, workplace conflict, OCD and relationship/sexual difficulty.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

There is limited parking available on site, however there is free disc parking close by or access to council run car parks within walking distance.
