Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist Registered MBACP

About me

I am a BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist skilled at supporting clients experiencing various difficulties.

My Approach

My counselling and therapy sessions offer a non-judgemental space where you can talk about difficult emotional issues and struggles. People come for counselling for different reasons, you may wish to look at feelings around a specific or repeated problem (e.g. loneliness, relationship/ family issues, low self-confidence, abuse, trauma, anxiety, ddepression,or stress) or you may have a general feeling that you could be getting more out of life and feel more fulfilled. I work collaboratively with you; whatever you are going through, we can explore together to help you make sense of your experiences.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I am able to draw on a number of different techniques and modalities to best suit your needs. I recognise that we all respond to life’s obstacles and challenges in different ways, and I will use different elements of therapeutic thinking as a way to explore these experiences and support your future life.

What to expect in your first session?

Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my work. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to decide if I am the right person for you.

If we decide to go ahead, we will agree to see each other weekly for a 50-minute session at an agreed day and time.

I am currently providing online sessions via Zoom with adults over the age of 18.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
