About me
My name is Bonnie, I am a queer, bilingual Chartered Clinical Psychologist. Whether you want to explore how your early life experiences have impacted your present attachments and relationships or seek support for major life changes, self-esteem issues, grief, or challenges related to living with HIV and other chronic/life-limiting illnesses, my aim is to support and guide you through an unflinching exploration of your experiences, helping you lay down some of the burdens you carry and empowering you to embrace growth and meaningful transformation.
We can all need a space outside of our day-to-day lives to receive support and explore certain issues, and there can be many reasons to seek that out. Whatever you wish to bring, I am committed to co-creating a compassionate space where you feel supported and safe, even when difficult feelings arise while speaking about trauma and distress.
You might want just a few focused discussions on a specific topic or a more extended therapeutic relationship - I am here to adapt to your pace and needs. I also offer therapy in both English and Cantonese for further flexibility.
Feel free to reach out on this platform or visit my website to book a free initial consultation. This first meeting gives you a chance to see if I might be the right therapist for you. Afterward, you're welcome to take your time to consider your next steps. No concern is too big or too small if it’s on your mind, and I’ll do my best to make the process as comfortable as possible.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at University College London. My clinical expertise includes supporting individuals of all genders and sexual orientations in addressing a diverse range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, shame or guilt, low self-esteem/self-worth, adverse childhood or early life experiences, interpersonal problems, major life changes, issues related to living with chronic/life-limiting/terminal illnesses.
I also have extensive experience in working with challenges related to living with HIV at one of Europe's largest HIV clinics. Much of my experience has been providing affirmative support to LGBTQ+ identifying adults and young people struggling with their gender, sexuality, and related issues such as discrimination and prejudice, and those undergoing a variety of gender affirmation processes (i.e. managing dysphoria and cultivating gender euphoria).
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

I value actively advancing mental health care towards a non-pathologising, non-individualising place, and am therefore always happy to hold space for discussions of systemic factors as we work on improving your mental wellbeing.
