About me

I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. Asking for help isn’t always easy. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Perhaps life has changed suddenly, or slowly gotten on top of you. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, or long-standing patterns that no longer serve you. My aim is to offer a supportive, safe space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. Together, we can work to understand what's getting in the way and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.

My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, using evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you explore your experiences, understand unhelpful patterns, and develop practical strategies. I also have experience delivering Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

Starting therapy can feel like a really big step, and I want to recognise the strength it takes. You don't need to know exactly what you need; we can work that out together. At Olea Therapy, we offer a warm, collaborative space, adapting to your needs and pace, with a complimentary 20-minute consultation so you can get a sense of my approach. Please do get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. In my current NHS role as a Senior Clinical Psychologist, I work with adults who may have experienced significant adversity alongside severe and enduring mental health difficulties, including psychosis. I also draw on experience across settings, including Talking Therapies/IAPT, CAMHS, and Health Psychology, including Diabetes and Haematology/Oncology. I often draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) because it can be an effective treatment for many issues, but no single approach works for everyone. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist trained in several approaches, I adapt therapy to what fits you best. In our first few sessions, we'll clarify what has brought you to therapy and outline a plan to support meaningful change.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BABCP
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
