About me

Do you:

  • Feel like you have tried lots of things but nothing has worked entirely?
  • Feel shameful, embarrassed or overwhelmed at trying to explore parts of your life?
  • Feel like there are lots of little problems that don't feel worthy of help, but collectively they feel heavy?
  • Perhaps you don't know if there is a problem but are just looking for a place to explore
  • A partner of family members problems are starting yo really impact you
  • You feel stuck and don't know how to change this.

I am a therapist and coach and specialise in both addictions and trauma (EMDR Practitioner), and more recently developed my skills in sexology. I also work routinely with ADHD following training at Kings College Hospital, and specialise this weekly with a team to maintain professional development and practice.

Therapy or Coaching could help by:

  • Understanding how to regulate emotions
  • Making sense of trauma or distress and finding ways of moving beyond the pain and removing blocks in life
  • Understanding how to balance life and managing sleep, nutrition and exercise.
  • Understanding your emotions and learning how to express your feelings and get needs met in relationships
  • Learning how to regulate body, mind and emotions
  • Feeling confidant of how to maintain progress
  • Learning how to embrace all aspects of self and work from a strength based foundation.

A little more about me:

I started my career as a Mental Health Nurse in 2003, which gave me lots of experience in understanding a wide range of mental health problems, and how these not only affect the individual, but also family and friends. I love listening to people and understanding every person I meet own individuality and story. I work from a holistic perspective and like to look at the bigger picture to gain clarity, and have a firm belief that with some support we are all our own experts. I like to work from a position of empathy and understanding, and help create hope, by working with achievable goals and focusing on personal value systems.

During my career as a nurse and therapist I have set up several treatment specific pathways for services, to respond to need and demand including a trauma and addiction treatment pathway, several family support groups and a community programme for the management of chronic eating disorders. My aim is to meet you in the place you are in and collaborate a pathway.

I work on both a short and long term basis with clients dependant on needs and circumstances. I work with an integrative model, and like to be present, dynamic and creative to ensure my clients have a service that fits their need.

I love working with diversity and value the experience of working with different cultures, ages, genders and faith groups. I have maximised this my taking all oppertunities to travel both for work and leisure to gain insight into different cultures and ways of living.
